Team & roles
Everyone who signs into your admin console is a venue member with one of three roles. Manage the roster from Settings → Team.
Roles
- Owner— full access, including deleting the venue and billing. There is exactly one owner per venue; the person who signed up gets the role automatically. Ownership transfer is a support-side operation today — email hello@pitwallos.com if the founder is leaving the business.
- Admin— everything the owner can do except delete the venue. Can approve rigs, edit presets, take payments, invite more teammates, remove members (except the owner), and change any setting on Settings. Give admin to anyone you trust to run the venue when you're not there.
- Staff— day-to-day operators. Can launch sessions from Sim Control, take walk- ins, run leaderboards, manage the calendar. Cannot change pricing, cannot invite or remove teammates, cannot see the billing page. Perfect for the person on the front counter.
Inviting teammates
- Settings → Team → Invite member.
- Enter their email and pick a role. Invites default to admin; drop to staff for shift workers.
- They get an email with a signed link (valid for 14 days). When they click it, they're prompted to set a password (or sign in with an existing one) and are added to your venue with the chosen role.
Invitees don't need a PitwallOS account beforehand — the flow creates one on the fly. Someone who already runs a different PitwallOS venue can accept the invite with the same login and see both venues in a switcher.
Managing pending invites
The bottom of the Team page shows every unaccepted invite with its expiry. You can:
- Resend— sends a fresh copy of the email; useful when someone lost the original.
- Revoke— kills the invite link immediately. Do this if you sent it to the wrong email or the hire fell through. The invitee sees a friendly “this invite is no longer valid” page.
Removing a member
Click Removenext to any member row. They lose access instantly — any open admin session is booted on the next page load. Their historical actions (bookings launched, laps recorded) remain attributed to them in the audit log.
You can't remove the venue owner or yourself; owners need to hand off first, and self-removal is guarded to keep every venue with at least one signed-in admin.
Audit trail
Every admin-level action is logged with the acting user, timestamp, and old / new values. Owners can review the log from Settings → Audit log(coming v2); until then, ping support and we'll pull the log for you within one business day.
